At Afloat, we make tools that make financial caregiving the easy part.

Here's how and why.

How we got here

Most families find out the hard way

When a parent or spouse suddenly can't manage their money, someone in the family has to step in. Usually there are no instructions, no passwords, and no list of which bills are due. We built Afloat because that moment is common, it is stressful, and almost nobody is ready for it.

  • The bills don't wait. The mortgage, the insurance and the utilities keep coming due while the family is at the hospital.
  • The information is scattered. It lives in the mail, in a checkbook register, and in one person's head.

So we made a navigator that tells you what to do first and keeps the whole family on the same page.

That means
